Job content
For this internship, you'll be working for our Global Seed Production Research department at Bejo Australia in Tasmania. The local research team conducts practical trials across various (inter)national programs, focusing on areas such as entomology, pollination, pathology, agronomy, and new technologies. During your internship, you'll have the chance to explore these work fields, with your specific project tailored to align with your interests and the current research priorities. In addition to working together with the research team, you will independently drive to seed production fields of carrots, beets, brassicas and onion to collect data, which could include sampling plant material, assess crop developments or conducting drone flights. You will conclude your internship by writing a research report that presents your findings, conclusions, and recommendations. The exact timing of the internship can be discussed.
Job Requirements
- An agricultural education at HBO level minimum, such as Applied Biology
- Interest in work fields of seed production, such as entomology, agronomy, pathology, bees and new technologies
- The ability to work independently and proactively
- Communication skills in English
- Driving license B
